On hand for last year's awards ceremony were Jim Nantz of CBS, Peter Gammons of ESPN/Boston Globe and golfing legend Arnold Palmer. Reynolds and his wife, Linda, plan to be in North Carolina next month for this year's ceremony.

The Patriot Ledger has won seven national journalism awards from Suburban Newspapers of America, including first place prizes for best editorial writing and best coverage of local business and economic news.
In the 2010 Suburban Newspapers of America Editorial Contest, The Enterprise (Brockton, MA) took home first prize in community service for the newspaper’s “Paint the Town Pink” edition on breast cancer awareness. It also won writing awards for its stories about the massive local floods in March of last year, for the highway death of state police Sgt. Douglas Weddleton of Brockton and for a narrative feature about heroin addiction, part of The Enterprise’s ongoing “Wasted Youth” coverage.
