We plan on fleshing out some of the sub-navigation with departmental specific content. ie. under 'Business' we might have a link to a popular business blogger or under 'Education' maybe a hot button issue that is education specific." — Messenger Post
"We have a law enforcement tab, and anything law enforcement related gets traffic, too." — Crookston Daily Times (Minn.)
"The primary use of the secondary area is for targeted regular sections or areas of high interest. We added Twitter, Facebook and text alerts. We also added Weird News recently, which we hope will take off." — Observer Dispatch
"We use secondary navigation to get users deeper into our site(s). We’ve also used the secondary nav to point users to Newspaper Archives, databases, subsections, etc." — Rockford Register Star
