If you’re looking for ways to save time when producing pages in Quark or InDesign, look no further than keyboard shortcuts. Below are links to online cheat sheets for new and old versions of InDesign and QuarkXPress. And for the newsrooms that use — eek! — PCs, well, I haven’t left you out. Remember, too, that your computer, be it a Mac or PC, has its own keyboard shortcuts that can help you save time.
Veteran and novice designers alike can learn a thing or two (I know I did!) by taking a few minutes to check out the video below in which I show where you can find a hidden treasure trove of keyboard shortcuts for both InDesign and QarkXPress. The sooner these key strokes become second nature, the sooner you’ll be saving time (and grief) when producing pages.
