The GateHouse Media News & Inteactive Division is accepting applications for a new newsroom training program.

The 2010 Leadership Series program has taken on a new name, LEDE (Leadership, Education, Development and Enterprise), and a new focus. The program takes 10 editors and over the course of a year builds upon the GateHouse Newsroom Leadership Series and teaches editors of small newsrooms and section editors of larger newsrooms the skills to lead in the next decade.

LEDE is open to all GateHouse Media employees and not only includes training at their individual sites, but also includes two, two-day training sessions in Chicago at the News & Interactive Division's offices (April and October) and will go on site to a larger GateHouse Media newspaper to shadow one of the company's most effective editors over the summer.
