The Observer-Dispatch in Utica, N.Y., uses its print platform to engage readers on Pinterest.

A regular feature in Sunday's Living section promotes a Pin board and encourages readers to vote on a Pin of the Week. Topics vary from favorite drinks to U.S. cities readers would most like to visit.

The effort is a great way to drive readers to the digital side and allow them the opportunity to interact on the newsroom’s Pinterest boards. The platform also will help your staff find what is resonating with readers and what topics are trending in your coverage communities.
